Blessed Alda of Siena, also known as Aldo, Aldobrandesca, Aude, Blanca, or Bruna, was a married lay woman from Siena, Italy. Born in 1249, she dedicated her life to personal penance and charity, particularly towards the poor and marginalized members of society. Widowed at a young age, Blessed Alda became a tertiary of the Holy Humility of Mary, committing herself to a life of prayer, mortification, and service to others.
