Blessed Antoine Fournier, also known as Antonio, was a married lay man and a skilled craftsman hailing from the diocese of Angers, France. He was born on 26 January 1736 in La Poitevinière, situated in the province of Maine-et-Loire. Antoine lived during a tumultuous time in France's history, as the country was engulfed in the violent persecutions of the French Revolution.
