Biography
Blessed Elisa Martinez, also known as Sister Maria Lucia, was born on 25 March 1905 in Galatina, Lecce, Italy. From a young age, Elisa felt a strong calling to religious life, and at the age of 23, she joined the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd in Angers, France.
