Biography
Blessed Giles of Assisi, also known as Aegidius or Egidius, was a close friend and the third follower of Saint Francis of Assisi. Born around 1190 in Assisi, Umbria, in the Papal States (modern-day Italy), he dedicated his life to the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment and spreading the teachings of Christ.
