Having completed his studies, Milo was ordained as a priest and began his pastoral work in the region of Auvergne, France. His devotion and wisdom soon caught the attention of others, and he was appointed as a Canon of the cathedral of Auvergne. During this time, Milo became renowned for his piety and his commitment to the teachings of the Church.
One of his most significant contributions was his role as the teacher of the young Saint Stephen of Muret. Milo took this responsibility with great care and mentored Stephen, helping shape him into the future saint that he would become. Milo's guidance and teachings had a profound impact on Stephen's spiritual journey.
Due to his exceptional reputation as a pious and knowledgeable priest, the people of Benevento, Italy, sought out Milo as their bishop. With the utmost humility, Milo accepted their invitation and relocated to Benevento, where he served as the bishop for the remaining two years of his life.
During his time as the bishop of Benevento, Blessed Milo continued to exemplify his commitment to the Church and the well-being of his flock. He dedicated himself to the spiritual nourishment of the faithful, emphasizing the importance of prayer, compassion, and adherence to the teachings of Christ.
