Biography
Blessed Rusticus of Vallombrosa, also known as Rustico, was a devoted friend, co-worker, and spiritual student of Saint John Gualbert. He was born on either November 6 or March 12, although historical records vary on the exact date, in 1092 at the Vallombrosa abbey, located near the town of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, Italy. Rusticus spent his entire life dedicated to his faith and the monastic life.
