Biography

Blessed Teresa Demjanovich, also known as Sister Miriam Teresa, was born on March 26, 1901, in Bayonne, New Jersey. She was one of five children of Alexander and Johanna Demjanovich, who had immigrated to the United States from an area of the Austro-Hungarian Empire that is now part of modern-day Slovakia.
