Saint Adolphus of Cordoba, also known as Adolph, was born in Seville, Spain, to a Moorish father and a Christian mother. He was the brother of another revered saint, Saint John of Cordoba. Adolphus lived during a time of great religious tension and persecution in Spain. As a young man, Adolphus held a significant inner struggle due to his mixed heritage and the conflicting religious beliefs of his parents. Eventually, he chose to embrace Christianity and fully committed his life to the teachings of Christ.
