Biography

Saint Gerald of Aurillac, also known as Geraud, was born in 855 in the town of Aurillac, France. He belonged to the noble family of Count Gerard and Saint Adeltrude of Aurillac. Unfortunately, Gerald suffered from various illnesses during his youth, which eventually led to him becoming blind. After the death of his father, Gerald inherited the title of Count of Aurillac....
