Saint Ingbert, also known as Ingebert, Ingobert, or Ingobertus, was a hermit who lived near the modern-day town of Saint Ingbert in Saarland, Germany. He is believed to have played a significant role in the establishment and growth of the community that eventually took his name. Little is known about Saint Ingbert's early life and background. It is believed that he was born in the 7th century, but the exact date and place of his birth remain uncertain.
