Biography

Saint Grimoald of Saintes, also known simply as Grimoald, was a devout deacon in Saintes, Belgium during the 8th century. Though not much information is available about his early life, what is known is that he valiantly defended his faith against pagan Frisian invaders who sought to eradicate Christianity from the region. During his time as a deacon, Saint Grimoald relentlessly worked towards spreading the teachings of Christ and supporting the local Christian community.
