Saint Justus of Trieste, also known as San Giusto or Saint Just, was a devout Catholic revered for his remarkable acts of penance and charity. Born in Trieste, Italy, this pious man dedicated his life to serving God and his fellow citizens.

Historical documents indicate that Saint Justus lived during a time of intense persecution under the rule of Diocletian. Despite the risks, he fearlessly practiced his faith and openly professed his belief in Christ. As a result, he became a target of the authorities, who sought to quash Christianity.

Saint Justus of Trieste is depicted in various representations, often holding a lance or a spear, symbolizing his martyrdom. One common image shows him as a man dressed in classical attire with flowers across his chest, holding a palm, and standing in front of a cathedral.
