Blessed Ísleifur Gissurarson of Skálholt, also known as Blessed Isleifur Gissurarson, was born around the year 1006 in Iceland. He was the son of Gissur Teitsson, a prominent Christian figure and one of the first individuals in Iceland to embrace Christianity, and Þórdís Þóroddsdóttir.
