Blessed Estanislao García Obeso, also known as Estanislao García, was a Dominican priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on September 19, 1875, in Requejo, Santander, Cantabria, Spain.

Estanislao García grew up in a deeply religious family and was drawn to the Catholic faith from a young age. Inspired by the example of the Dominican Order, he entered the Dominican seminary and was ordained a priest. Known for his piety and dedication to his calling, he served faithfully as a Dominican priest, ministering to the spiritual needs of the people.

During the tumultuous years of the Spanish Civil War, religious persecution was prevalent, and many priests and religious figures were targeted for their faith. Refusing to renounce his beliefs, he faced torture and ultimately martyrdom for his unwavering faith. His courageous witness to the Gospel and his refusal to abandon his priestly duties even in the face of danger became an inspiration to many.

Recognizing the sanctity of his life and the sacrifice he made, the Catholic Church began the process of beatification. Pope Benedict XVI, on December 16, 2006, declared Estanislao García Obeso venerable, recognizing his heroic virtues. On October 28, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI beatified him, officially declaring him Blessed Estanislao García Obeso.
