He was born on August 12, 1871, in Cuevas de Almanzora, Almería, Spain. From a young age, Fernando González Ros displayed great piety and a strong desire to serve God. He pursued his religious vocation and was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Almería.

During the turbulent years of the Spanish Civil War, which took place from 1936 to 1939, Catholicism faced significant challenges. Cardinal Angelo Amato presided over the ceremony, where Blessed González Ros was honored for his sacrifice and devotion to God.
