5 November 2022 by Pope Francis; the beatification was celebrated at Meru, Kenya, with Cardinal Antoine Kambanda, Archbishop of Kigali, Rwanda presiding; the beatification miracle involved the return to life, after 30 minutes, of the stillborn infant Msafiri Hilary Kiama on 14 April 2013 after the baby was delivered in a vehicle on the road in Kenya

Biography

Blessed Fiorina Cecchin, also known as Maria Carola Cecchin, was born on 3 April 1877 in Cittadella, Padua, Italy. From a young age, Fiorina felt a strong call to religious life. She initially applied to join the Dorotee Sisters of Vicenza but unfortunately, her application was rejected due to health reasons.
