Blessed Innocent of Berzo, also known as Giovanni Scalvinoni, Innocenzo de Berzo, was a renowned Capuchin priest born on March 19, 1844, in Niardo, Brescia, Italy. From a young age, he displayed a strong inclination towards the Franciscan way of life, and his special gift in working with those seeking to embrace this vocation soon became apparent.
