Biography

Blessed Julian Maunoir, also known as Julien Maunoir and revered as the Apostle of Brittany, was born on 1 October 1606 in Saint-Georges-de-Reitembault, France. He was raised in a pious home that nurtured his spiritual growth from an early age. Julian had the privilege of being a classmate of Saint Isaac Jogues, renowned for his missionary work in North America. Following in the footsteps of his classmate, Julian joined the Society of Jesus in 1625.
