Blessed Lorenza Díaz Bolaños was born on August 10, 1896, in Guía, Islas Canarias, Spain. She was a devout Catholic and felt a strong calling to dedicate her life to God from a young age. Choosing the path of religious life, she entered the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, a religious order that serves the poor and marginalized.

Lorenza lived as a nun in the Archdiocese of Madrid, Spain, and devoted her life to assisting the needy and caring for the sick. With unwavering dedication, she embraced the teachings of Saint Vincent de Paul and actively participated in the charitable works of her congregation.

Tragically, the Spanish Civil War erupted in 1936, causing immense upheaval and religious persecution in Spain. During this turbulent period, Lorenza's faith was severely tested. As a religious sister committed to her vows and her service to God, she faced great danger and persecution.

On November 17, 1936, in the area of Vistillas, Madrid, Blessed Lorenza Díaz Bolaños was martyred for her unwavering faith and fidelity to her religious calling. She became a martyr, sacrificing her life for her faith and devotion to God.

Recognizing her heroic virtue and martyrdom, Pope Benedict XVI beatified Lorenza Díaz Bolaños on October 27, 2013. This beatification acknowledged her sanctity and her status as a blessed within the Catholic Church.

Although specific information regarding her representations or feast days is not available, Lorenza's witness serves as an inspiration to all who strive to live their faith with courage and selflessness, even in the face of adversity.
