Blessed Ludovicus Yakichi, a layman of the Archdiocese of Nagasaki, Japan, lived a life of quiet faith and profound familial devotion during a period of intense persecution. Born in Japan, his specific birth date and location remain unrecorded in historical accounts. He married Blessed Lucia Yakichi, and together they raised a family that would become a beacon of Christian witness. Their children, Blessed Andreas Yakichi and Blessed Franciscus Yakichi, were raised in the faith
