Biography
Blessed Orante of Ortucchio, also known as the Pilgrim Monk, was a devout monk who dedicated his life to spiritual pilgrimage and living a life of poverty. Born around the year 1400 in Calabria, Italy, little is known about his early life, including his real name. This lack of information is likely due to his humble and anonymous existence, as he chose to live as a wandering monk, relying solely on alms and the goodwill of others.
