Born in an unknown location and time, he entered the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, embracing its mission to ransom Christians enslaved in Muslim territories. As a professor of theology and a noted preacher, Boffet combined deep intellectual faith with practical compassion, tirelessly working to secure the freedom of those held in bondage.
