Biography

Blessed Salvador Mollar Ventura, a Franciscan Friar Minor, was born on March 27, 1896, in Manises, Valencia, Spain. In his early years, Salvador displayed a deep reverence for God and an undeniable calling to religious life. Responding to this inner calling, he entered the Franciscan Order and was ordained a priest.

Throughout his life, Blessed Salvador Mollar Ventura lived in a time of great upheaval and conflict in Spain, as the country was torn apart by the Spanish Civil War. In the midst of this tumultuous period, Salvador remained dedicated to his faith and committed to serving others. He fervently worked to bring peace, hope, and the message of God's love to those around him.

Tragically, on September 8, 1936, Blessed Salvador Mollar Ventura became a martyr for his unwavering faith. He was martyred in Castellón, Spain, losing his life in defense of his religious beliefs during this dark and violent period of Spanish history.
