Biography
Blessed Sebastià Segarra Barberá, a priest of the Diocesan Laborer Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is venerated for his steadfast faith and ultimate sacrifice during the Spanish Civil War. Born in Spain, his specific birth date and place remain unrecorded in the historical accounts of his life. He dedicated himself to the priesthood, embracing the charism of his religious community which focused on serving the working poor and laboring among the people, embodying Christ’s presence in the midst of daily toil. His ministry was marked by humble service and unwavering commitment to his flock. Tragically, his life was cut short during the brutal anti-clerical violence that swept through Spain in the early 1930s. Persecuted for his faith and priest
