Biography

Blessed Simon of Cascia Fidati, also known as Simon Fidati or Simon of Cassia, was born around 1295 in Cascia, Italy. As a young man, he joined the Augustinian Hermits, where he devoted himself to the pursuit of knowledge. Initially, his studies focused on the natural sciences and philosophy. However, as he grew older, Simon became increasingly drawn to matters of faith, theology, and Bible scholarship.
