Biography

Blessed Thomas Khampheuane Inthirath, a young layman of the Apostolic Vicariate of Pakse in what is now Laos, stands as a witness to the enduring strength of faith in the face of persecution. Born into a family deeply rooted in the Christian community, his father had served faithfully as a catechist for their parish. Following in his father’s footsteps, Thomas, still a teenager, was diligently preparing to become a catechist himself, studying the faith and the means to nurture it in others. His commitment to his spiritual vocation was profound, reflecting the active participation of laypeople in the Church’s mission within the nascent Christian community of Laos.
