Biography

Blessed Ursula Nishi, a laywoman of the Archdiocese of Nagasaki, Japan, lived a life of profound faith within the crucible of persecution. Born into the Christian community of Nagasaki, she married Blessed Gaspar Nishi Genka, and together they raised their family in the practice of their Catholic faith. Ursula’s vocation was deeply rooted in the domestic sphere, nurturing her children and supporting her husband in their shared commitment to Christ amidst intense societal pressure. Her family became a beacon of steadfastness
