Diocesan priest, Founder of the Secular Institute known as Cruzada Evangélica; he carried out many pastoral services in the diocese and, during the anticlerical persecution of the republican government, was imprisoned by militiamen in 1937. This experience touched him deeply, giving rise to his desire to start a work for consecrated women.
