Life

Estanislao Ortega García (in religion: Lorenzo) and the 48 Companions, professed religious of the Institute of the Brothers of Christian Instruction of St. Gabriel, and Manuel Berenguer Clusella, a diocesan priest, killed between July and November 1936 in hatred of the Faith; amid the climate of persecution experienced by the Church in Spain because of the political upheavals of the 1930s, violent acts took place that, between July and November 1936, claimed as victims the aforementioned martyrs, who worked in the territory of the dioceses of Barcelona and Tarragona.
