Professed religious of the Order of Discalced Carmelites; although he had to face many difficulties in building and running the Shrine of the Queen of Peace, he remained trusting, entrusting himself to Providence. He spent many hours in prayer and recollection before the Tabernacle, and nurtured a deep devotion to Our Lady, considering it a grace to be the custodian of the shrine dedicated to her.
