Life

Diocesan priest; he lived through the difficult years of Mexico's anticlerical politics. Determined to consecrate himself to the Lord, he entered the clandestine seminary, fulfilling his desire to become a priest. For his pastoral zeal he was compared to the Holy Curé of Ars. For his humility and dedication to administering the Sacrament of Reconciliation, many people, including priests, turned to him also for spiritual direction.
