Consecrated layman; a man of great humanity and profound culture, he constantly let himself be guided by a gaze of faith and a supernatural vision of life, nourished by prayer, meditation, and study. His Christocentric spirituality, summed up in the paschal mystery, expressed itself in an ascetic conduct, schooled at the Cross, especially in the times of the most painful trials.
