Life
Henri Verjus, in religious life Stanislao, was an Italian Catholic bishop and missionary belonging to the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, among the first to land in the Territory of Papua, where he was appointed bishop as coadjutor to the apostolic vicar of New Guinea. Since 2016 he has been Venerable, so declared by Pope Francis.
