Joseph Auguste Arribat

Life

Professed priest of the Salesian Society of Saint John Bosco; won over by the Salesian charism, he sought to be a faithful disciple of Saint John Bosco, showing excellent qualities as an educator, animator, teacher, spiritual director, preacher and confessor. He spent much of the day in the chapel, breviary in hand, always fully available to the students. He devoted all his strength to helping families left without support because of the war, and risked his life to save several Jewish children persecuted by the Nazis.
