A professed religious of the Society of Jesus, Mary, Joseph; she represents an exemplary model of a Christian woman, consecrated and engaged in the medical profession in service to the least. Her human gifts were placed at the disposal of the most needy. She was not only a doctor devoted to the sick out of love for Christ, but also a religious exemplary in the practice of the virtues.
