Professed nun of the Order of Discalced Carmelites, founder of the Institute of the Apostolic Carmel Sisters; born into an Anglican family, she converted to Catholicism and, having become a religious, nurtured a strong aspiration to perfection, always open to the purification of the heart through the acceptance of suffering and through experiences of deep contemplative prayer.
