Life

Diocesan priest, founder of the Congregations of the Brothers of Charity, the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary, and the Sisters of the Infant Jesus; his way of serving others was prophetic and innovative, since he placed the human person and human dignity at the center of attention. He lived the priesthood with self-denial, and his example drew many people to follow the Lord in the service of the least.
