Sebastià Gili i Vives

Life

A diocesan priest, founder of the Congregation of the Augustinian Daughters of Mercy; he devoted his priestly life especially to the benefit of abandoned children. To his care for children he added care for the sick. He spent much time in prayer, from which he drew nourishment to do good. He had at heart the condition of women in an age when women were subject to much discrimination.
