Biografía

Beato Clemens August von Galen, también conocido como el León de Münster, nació el 16 de marzo de 1878 en el castillo de Dinklage, en la Baja Sajonia, Alemania. Provenía de una de las más antiguas familias nobles alemanas y mantuvo una profunda conexión con su tierra natal a lo largo de toda su vida. Von Galen fue ordenado sacerdote el 28 de mayo de 1904 en Münster, Alemania, y posteriormente se convirtió en obispo de Münster el 5 de septiembre de 1933.
