26 February 1109 in Puch, Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany of natural causes; a holy oil is reported to have flowed from her hollow tree after her death, but it stopped when some of the townsfolk tried to sell it; a linden tree in Puch, called the Edignalinde, is said to be the same tree she lived in, but that would make the tree about 1,000 years old; a votive tablet from 1639 relates that a child from Mammendorf, Germany recovered from an unspecified illness immediately after completing a pilgrimage to the church; an empty grave near the altar in the church of Saint Sebastian was re-discovered in 1978, and is thought to have been her burial site; as Queen Anne of Kiev was reported to be her mother, there is a devotion to Edigna in Ukraine, and her church is a pilgrimage site for Ukranians

Biografía
Beata Edigna de Puch, también conocida como Beata Edigna de Puch, nació aproximadamente en el año 1055 como hija del rey Enrique I de Francia y la reina Ana de Kiev. Sin embargo, los detalles de su origen y conexiones reales permanecen envueltos en incertidumbre. La narración tradicional de su vida sugiere que, a los 19 años, Edigna escapó de un matrimonio concertado y de la vida mundana, buscando consuelo como ermitaña.
