At a young age, Blessed Jacobinus joined the Carmelite Order as a lay-brother in Vercelli. He was known for his exceptional piety and deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. His fervent love for the Mother of God led him to dedicate his life to spreading devotion to her and seeking the intercession of the Virgin Mary for the needs of others.

Throughout his life, Blessed Jacobinus took upon the role of an alms-beggar for his Carmelite house in Vercelli. He would travel throughout the town, humble and modest, seeking help for the needs of the order. Despite his task, he approached his work with great humility and charity, showing reverence for those who provided assistance.

Blessed Jacobinus De Canepaci lived his life in constant prayer and self-sacrifice, always seeking opportunities to serve others. His deep spirituality and unwavering faith touched the lives of many, inspiring them to lead a life of piety and devotion as well.

On March 3, 1508, Blessed Jacobinus De Canepaci passed away peacefully, having lived a life dedicated to God and his fellow man. He died of natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of piety, humility, and devotion.

Recognizing the sanctity and holiness of his life, Pope Gregory XVI beatified Blessed Jacobinus De Canepaci on March 5, 1845, confirming the cult of veneration already established around him.

To this day, Blessed Jacobinus De Canepaci is remembered as a model of faith and devotion, particularly in his love for the Blessed Virgin Mary. His feast days are celebrated on March 3 and August 7 on some calendars as a reminder of his virtuous life and the example he sets for all believers.
