Blessed Joan Maria Alsina Ferrer, born on 6 September 1874 in Seva, Barcelona, Spain, was a prominent figure in the Catholic Church and a member of the Claretians. He professed as a member of the congregation on 8 December 1900 and later ordained as a priest on 22 December 1907.
