San Porcario de Lérins

Saint Porcarius of Lérins, also known as Porcario, was a Benedictine monk and the abbot of Lérins, a renowned house of 500 monks located in Lérins, France. He is believed to have lived during the 8th century and became a martyr for his faith. Porcarius was known for his deep spirituality and commitment to the monastic life. He dedicated his life to prayer, study, and the guidance of his fellow brothers. As the abbot of Lérins, he was responsible for overseeing the spiritual and administrative affairs of the monastery.
