Blessed Elisa Martinez, also known as Sister Maria Lucia, was born on 25 March 1905 in Galatina, Lecce, Italy. From a young age, Elisa felt a strong calling to religious life, and at the age of 23, she joined the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd in Angers, France. On 29 September 1930, she made her first profession and took the name Sister Maria Lucia....
