Pope Saint Caius I, also known as Caius the Dalmatian, Cayo, or Gaius, was a pope who served during a time of peace before the last great persecution of Rome. Unfortunately, very little is known about his early life. Some unreliable early documents suggest that he may have been from Spalato in Dalmatia and that he could have been a relative of Emperor Diocletian....
