Nikon the Metanoeite (Greek: Νίκων ὁ Μετανοεῖτε, Nikon ho Metanoeite) was a Byzantine monk and itinerant preacher who lived from around 930 to his death on November 26, 998. He is venerated in the Eastern Orthodox Church as a saint for his mission to re-Christianize regions of the Byzantine Empire that had been lost due to early Muslim conquests....
