Tiburzio Vergelli (1551-1609) was an Italian sculptor and founder, born in Camerino, Italy. Highly skilled as a metal smelter, he trained under Antonio Calcagni and Girolamo Lombardo in Recanati. His first notable work is the statue of Pope Sixtus V, which Vergelli completed around 1587 for his hometown Camerino....
