Saint Alexius of Rome, also known as Alexius of Edessa, is recognized as a remarkable figure in the Catholic Church. Born into a wealthy Christian family in Rome, he was the only son of a respected Roman senator. From an early age, Alexius felt called to devote himself entirely to God, seeking a life of holiness and service. However, his parents had different plans for him....
