Saint Alkeld The Martyr, also known as Athilda, was a devout Christian who suffered martyrdom at the hands of the invading Danes in the 10th century. She holds a significant place in Yorkshire, England, where two churches are dedicated to her memory. Very little is known about Saint Alkeld's early life. However, her courageous faith and unwavering commitment to Christ would come to define her legacy....
