Saint Alverius of Agaunum, also known as Saint Alverius of Thebes, was a soldier and member of the renowned Theban Legion. Born in an unknown year, he dedicated his life to serving the Roman Empire as a soldier during the reign of Emperor Maximian. During this time, Emperor Maximian initiated a violent persecution against Christians, resulting in the martyrdom of numerous faithful believers....
